When you are ready to produce at high levels
Stages Of Production
Bangladesh has various industries at our disposal, ready to do business in the states. When clients approach us about manufacturing a certain product, we will have to find the best manufacturer amongst these industries. Every factory has a set capacity and a minimum purchase order, as well as available technology to increase productivity. These factories usually take large scale orders, but give us comparatively low quotes, as opposed to smaller factories. Therefore larger orders will be more profitable for us in the long run. That’s not to say we cannot profit from small orders. The smaller factories have lower minimum purchase orders but are limited to their capacity. Also we must factor in transport costs for small orders. The factory we choose is determined by the quantity and quality of the product. When we have determined our best source, we can move on.
Pricing is determined by the labor costs, materials used, and quantity produced. Unit price is determined either by weight(kg) or per piece. We will request either a live sample or a spec sheet from the buyer. If the buyer has neither, we will provide a spec sheet for him/her at a cost. The live sample or the spec sheet will then be sent to the manufacturer to examine and estimate their quote. Once we have received the quote, we will adjust for inflation, import, and labor costs on our end. We will then negotiate the price with the buyer until we have reached an agreement, or cease negotiations based on their decision. If or when the price is established, the sample process will begin.
The sample process may be short or prolonged depending on the standards and satisfaction of the buyer. Prototypes will be exchanged until the initial production begins. When we have arrived at a final prototype, we will give the product a special item number for future orders. The buyer will then pay a 60% advance on the order, thus signaling the manufacturer to initiate production.
Once production begins, full transparency of the whole process from initial production to final production will be communicated along with daily updates on the status. Mass production on this professional scale comes with quality assurance measures that will ensure nothing but the best outcome in manufacturing.
Shipping logistics factor into the bottom line. Every penny counts when you are sending container loads of products across vast oceans oceans. Your customer does not see the journey, but you know what it takes. Metropolitan Imports facilitates the logistics to get the product to you.

Message from Our Founder
One could argue that, the overwhelming majority of American-born Bengalis have lost touch with their roots and heritage. I make this assumption not in conceit, but pure humility because I too, was amongst them. By the same token, the customs and traditions entrusted to our past generation, have also started to wither.
It was only after I decided to visit my ancestral homeland, that I discovered the true potential of my people. The pursuit of knowledge is at the forefront of every household. Often times, it’s the only means of survival. Even in these conditions, it’s astonishing how they remain hopeful and optimistic. I greatly admire their regard for simplicity and resourcefulness in making the best out of what they have. As a result of the humbleness they have imparted to me, I am deeply inspired to bring that same hunger and drive, back home.
My undying wish is to facilitate a means of unifying my motherland, with my native one. I am determined to showcase the quality and perfection, emerging from the great Bangladesh. For this reason, I guarantee the pinnacle of customer satisfaction, and integrity in our business.

Advantages of Bangladesh
We will articulate the advantages of working with Bangladesh.
It is with the utmost honor and sincerity that we celebrate the profoundly remarkable, and painstakingly underrated, Nation of Bangladesh. This small nation has manifested internationally as, the premier exporter for textiles and clothing, and one of the fastest growing economies worldwide.
Exports have more than tripled since 2005, and continues to do so at a consistent rate. With a population of close to 160 million, the necessity for employment opportunities is ever increasing. For this reason, these painfully overlooked, and exceedingly ambitious people, are conditioned to put forth tremendous effort, and have the distinction of showing unrelenting initiative and discipline.
This small nation thrives on it’s competitive spirit and is driven by their discontentment, and hunger to prove their worth on the world’s scale. In essence, and reluctance to dull simplicity: They are us, in as much as, we are them. We are boundless in out capacity. but in our unity. So in Our only goal is to help manifest their highest potential, and aspire to transform the disparaging labels of “developing” nation, into something more befitting.

Bangladesh Trade: Growth
The government of Bangladesh undertook significant steps during the 1980s. Consequently there was a tremendous increase in the export of ready-made-garments and knitwear, which garnered maximum foreign exchange for the country. Cheap labor and low conversion costs are the major factors behind the growth of Bangladesh’s garment industry. Over 3 million Bangladeshis (90% women) are employed in this industry. Bangladesh shares excellent trade relations with the US, showing noteworthy trade surplus with the latter. The country is an active partner of the Asia Pacific Trade Agreement and the World Trade Organization. A number of export processing zones have been set up by the government to enhance economic growth by attracting foreign investment.
Economic growth in Bangladesh was resilient in Fiscal Year 2015 despite political protest that hindered exports and private investment. Global headwinds notwithstanding, growth is expected to edge up in the next 2 years on steady expansion in garment exports.
The goal of graduating from low- to middle-income status requires much higher investment and thorough reform to improve the business environment, boost budget revenue, and strengthen financial discipline.
Bangladesh relies quite heavily on exports to provide for the needs of its densely populated nation. The same products sold locally will generally fetch a much lower price than they would on the international market. This means that it is far more profitable for the country to engage in exportation than it is to engage in local trade.
Currently Bangladesh’s main export items are garments, jute and jute-related goods, leather, frozen fish and seafood. Just three years ago the country made over $2,000 billion from export trade. The majority of the country’s trade is conducted with the USA but a small portion of exports also sees its way to Germany, the UK, France and Italy.
